These geodes contain hundreds of quartz crystals, each one is unique and never before seen by anyone. For the best results score a deep line around the middle of the geode before a gentle tap with a hammer, i cannot guarantee a neat split but it is fun trying!

Geodes are formed when a cavity is created inside of a rock. Quartz geodes are most commonly formed in igneous rock created by cooling magma or larva. A bubble forms and as the rock cools an empty space is left behind. Eventually, over thousands of years, mineral rich water seeps into this empty space. The water deposits layers of minerals that become the quartz crystals.
